Cancer free to the naked eye!

As you have heard by now Micah's scan was another miracle in his treatment....CLEAR!!!! Praise God!

Micah starts his radiation treatment this Thursday 18th. He will do this everyday minus weekends for about 31/2 weeks. He explains it better but I will give it a shot. Radiation will begin with a small catscan that will locate my like a 10th of a millimeter any and all abnormal areas around the original tumor sight. Then they will use radiation lasor to zap it. :)

Continue to thank God and pray for His work in Micah's life!

Time to celebrate

Nothing like good food, family, and friends to celebrate one step on a long road done! We had a great time celebrating with Micah! There were 30 people stuffed in the tiny Osaka Sushi restaurant. We had great service, they were very patient with us. We prayed, chatted, laughed, and caught up with good friends. Thanks for coming everyone!
February 11th is Micah's PET scan to determine if the "visible" cancer is gone. Please pray for the news we all want to hear!

Check your calendar!

Why would you check your calendar? Because this Wednesday is Micah's LAST Chemotherapy treatment!

It is amazing that four months, 8 chemo treatments have come and gone! Micah has done amazing through-out his treatment, God has been good. We need to thank God for his provision and grace, but also go forward in prayer for healing.

In two weeks Micah will have a PET scan. The results of this scan will determine his next step. We hope, pray, and the doctors expect that it will be clear, (praise God). If this is the case, Micah will begin radiation treatments about two weeks after his scan. If the scan does not read as expected, they will determine more chemotherapy at that point.

This is an important time in Micah's journey. Please continue to pray for God's all powerful healing.

In celebration of Micah's last Chemotherapy treatment we are going to dinner at Osaka in Layton on Sunday January 31st at 5:00pm. Check your facebook and RSVP with Mat Wenzel or Lanie Holbrook.

Message From Micah: Thanks for the meals, and support through out this time, it has been more helpful then you can know!

****Please post and encouraging word/prayer for Micah!****

much needed update

its been a while since my last update, and will probably be a while before the next because im not very good at blogging. Dec 16th is my 5th out of 8 chemos and so far God has been good as far as side effects. the worst is the first 4 days after a treatment. it slowly goes up from there until the next one. each treatment is a little worse than the previous but im still doing well.
life has been crazy lately but its all starting to calm down. i finished my semester well and have 2 more till i graduate. my teachers have all been great and let me work on my own schedule so i was able to catch up on a month of school that i didn't do and i finished pretty well.
i have also had some issues with my new car. some parts in the front end prevented it from getting aligned and long long long story short, i learned to change tie rod ends, ball joints, control arms/bushings/bolts, and repack wheel bearings. and thanks to a good friend, i was able to learn a lot and save some cash. (no thanks to a lot of mechanics trying to sell me stuff i didn't need)
on another repair note, after a couple of months without a washer/dryer, i got the new one in and working with the help of some friends and a repair man. its pretty sweet not having to drag laundry to my friends houses...
lastly, leah, andrew, and ben flew in yesterday and we've been having a great time. having a 2 year old in the house is different but fun. im taking full advantage of my time with him and teaching him all the tricks and skills any 2 year old boy needs to know. he's already a pro in the art of snowball fighting. so we'll see how far we get in the next 2 weeks.

Some Thanksgiving

Micah is looking ahead to his fourth Chemotherapy treatment this coming Wednesday. He is reacting well to his treatments and has suffered minimal sickness. His shot did not hurt him this last time as expected. He is going forward with; little sickness, some energy, hope in Christ, his hair:), his sense of humor, and a lot of people who love him and love God.

He spent the day today cutting down Christmas trees, now that says something for someone going through Chemotherapy. Can we get a thanks to God!
