Attention: All Readers

I know there are a lot of people checking this blog, and waiting for some news about something... but right now, the details are slow to come and nobody really wants to put into words the things that are in their heads.

From what little I do know, I know that he will be starting Chemo soon (this week or next). If you've ever been 22 and battling cancer, you'll know that phrases like "God is in control", and "It's in His hands" -while both both are true statements - can seem cold and empty. Yes it is in God's hands, but God has placed us in positions around Micah so that we can be used as tools in His plan.

The first and most important thing you can do is pray that Jesus would put you in a place where you can be Jesus to Micah.

I know Micah reads this blog. If you are reading this, please take 2 minutes to leave a comment on this post letting him know that you are supporting him. Praying for him, helping him, taking him out to lunch, giving him a hug and saying "i love you man!"... those are all secondary ways you can lend support.

Thanks,
Ryan

hey micah, i'm praying for you a lot, and think about you often. i hope you are finding good friends and family to keep around you while you are undergoing this trial. i hope you remember that God is seeking glory out of all of this, and nothing else. (Job was a "righteous man", and he basicaly took a punch in the throat just so God could have glory... :)

i love you, i mean it.

Micah,
I just got off facebook with Buzz. We are praying for you and your family, and if you ever need anything, we are here. I know you start chemo tomorrow. He's there for you my brother. I pray you may find the love, comfort, and peace that only He can give you during this time. And I mean that. May you find a greater joy through this than you have ever known before. Stay in His Word, He promises that He will keep His own. We love you guys, and are praying for all of you. Because of Christ, Lara and Jessica for the Kolkow family.

Micah,

I know things have really changed for you lately, but I want you to know that I look up to you...yes that is right even though you are 7 years younger than me. If this sound weird I hope you don't mind, but I take pride in that we were baptized on the same day. I know that I probably wouldn't be your first choice, but if you ever need anything just ask. I'll be here. I'll pray for you.

Josh
